Technological pedagogical Concept Knowledge (TPACK)

Technological Pedagogical Concept Knowledge is a framework to help one understand and describe the kinds of knowledge that teachers need to know for effective practice in a technology enhanced classroom.  this framework argues that effective technology integration in the classroom for teaching specific lessons requires understanding and the negotiation of relationships between three components; technology, pedagogy and content.  capable teachers represent a form of expertise different/broader than knowledge of an expert in discipline, technology, or teaching/pedagogy.

TPACK highlights complex relationships that exist between content, pedagogy, and technology.  It's a useful organizational structure for defining what teachers need to know to effectively integrate technology into the classroom.

My Views of TPACK!

I would explain TPACK as being almost like an effective teaching handbook in a way.  It tells how to incorporate Technology, Pedagogy, and content knowledge into lesson plans.  Some teachers who don't quite grasp how to do so, can use the TPACK to assist them.
